These terms govern your use of Ask AI - Data Connector. By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms.

Overview

Ask AI - Data Connector (“the app”, “we”, “our”) is a Shopify application that connects your e-commerce data sources to AI through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to all users of the app.

Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using Ask AI - Data Connector, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must uninstall the app and discontinue use.

Description of Service

The app provides:

• Data syncing from your Shopify store and connected third-party platforms (Klaviyo, Triple Whale, Gorgias, etc.)
• An MCP endpoint that allows AI clients to query your e-commerce data
• Analytics and insights based on your connected data sources

Account and Access

• You must have an active Shopify store to use the app
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your API keys and MCP endpoint credentials
• You must not share your API keys or allow unauthorized access to your MCP endpoint
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs through your account

Subscription Plans and Billing

• The app offers Free, Pro, and Business plans as described on our Pricing page
• Paid plans are billed through Shopify’s billing system
• You may change or cancel your plan at any time through the Shopify admin
• Refunds are handled in accordance with Shopify’s refund policies for app charges

Data and Privacy

• Our collection and use of data is governed by our Privacy Policy
• You retain ownership of your data at all times
• You grant us a limited licence to access, process, and store your data solely for the purpose of providing the service
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any data you connect to the app

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Interfere with or disrupt the app’s infrastructure
• Exceed reasonable usage limits or abuse the API
• Resell or redistribute access to the app or its data without authorisation
• Use the app to collect or store personal data beyond what the app is designed to handle

Third-Party Integrations

• The app integrates with third-party services (Shopify, Klaviyo, Triple Whale, Gorgias, and others)
• We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of third-party services
• Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and conditions
• You are responsible for providing valid API keys and maintaining your third-party accounts

AI Client Usage

• Data queried through the MCP endpoint is sent to the AI client you have configured (e.g. Claude Desktop, Claude Code)
• We are not responsible for how AI clients process, store, or display your data
• You should review the terms and privacy policies of your chosen AI client

Availability and Support

• We aim to provide reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime
• We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability
• Support is provided through the Shopify App Store listing
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the app with reasonable notice

Limitation of Liability

• The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your use of third-party integrations or AI clients

Intellectual Property

• The app and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Ask AI - Data Connector
• You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without our written consent

Termination

• You may terminate your use of the app at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify store
• We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms
• Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.
